Who we are

Lifolio ("we", "us") provides a personal financial planning app. For the purposes of the UK/EU GDPR, we are the data controller for the personal data processed through Lifolio.

What we collect

  • Account data — name, email, username, hashed password, and (optionally) Google account details.
  • Financial data you enter — income, expenses, debts, assets, goals and any transactions you log.
  • Usage data — basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

Why we use it (lawful bases)

  • To provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract).
  • To keep your account secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests).
  • To send service emails such as verification and weekly digests you can opt out of.

AI advisor

When you use the AI advisor, a summary of your financial numbers (not your raw credentials) is sent to our configured large-language-model provider solely to generate a response. The number crunching happens on our servers; the model is only used to explain the results.

Payments

Payments are processed by our payment providers (Stripe, Razorpay, Apple, Google). We never store full card details on our servers.

Your rights

Under the GDPR/UK GDPR you can access, correct, export or delete your data. You can export all of your data or delete your account at any time from Me → Privacy in the app. To exercise any other right, contact us at privacy@lifolio.builder-os.in.

Data retention & security

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Data is encrypted in transit and stored with reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
